Doing What Comes Supernaturally

Horror film production company Blumhouse is entering the video game market.

The successful company behind hits like Paranormal Activity and M3GAN believes it can thrive in the games space too.

But instead of launching games based on its own films, the initiative will start with six original horror titles that match the Blumhouse cinematic style.

The subsidiary, Blumhouse Games, announced that its first release will be Fear the Spotlight, an homage to ’90s teen horror movies.

Gaming is big business with more than 190 million Americans playing video games at least once a week and annual global revenue from the games industry reportedly $183 billion.
