Tom Cruise’s salary for his daring stunt at the end of the Paris Olympics has caused shock around Hollywood.
For the movie megastar’s dangerous descent from the roof of the Stade de France in Paris was performed for free.
Casey Wasserman, president of the 2028 Games in Los Angeles, revealed that Cruise was so excited to be involved that he asked for no salary.
Wasserman added that Cruise performed not only the death-defying rappelling but also the skydiving and motorcycling in the sequence himself without a stunt double.
The star shot the Olympics segment just hours after completing work on the next Mission Impossible film, due out in May 2025, for which he was paid $14 million up front plus a significant percentage of the box office takings.
