ARNOLD SCHWARZENEGGER: ACTION ICON

The remarkable rise of Arnold Schwarzenegger from bodybuilder to blockbuster movie star and then governor of California is the stuff of modern myth.

But Arnold has never been interested in looking back, only ever in moving forward and achieving more – and the 76-year-old legend has certainly been doing that lately.

Earlier this year he made his first venture into television with the action series FUBAR, which topped the Netflix viewing charts.

A few weeks later he followed that up with a three-part documentary about his life, Arnold, and that reached number one as well.

“The Austrian Oak” has also found time to write a new book called Be Useful which sums up his philosophy for doing something every day to make life better for people.

Arnold has certainly done just that with his films and franchises like action extravaganzas Terminator, True Lies, Total Recall, Predator and Conan the Barbarian, along with comedies such as Kindergarten Cop and Twins.

Whatever he does next promises to be just as interesting. As relentless as his most famous character The Terminator, Schwarzenegger never seems to slow down.
